Julie Irwin
Director
Julie Irwin, Director, designs and manages studies in insurance, investment and mortgage markets. Before jointly founding Charterhouse, Julie was a director of TNS Financial & Professional Services, following the acquisition of NFO WorldGroup by TNS Global, jointly heading a division specialising in banking, investment, mortgages, insurance, pensions and employee benefits.
Prior to its merger into NFO Financial, Julie was a director of City Research Group Plc, responsible for life, pensions and investment research and was previously a senior executive at Marplan and Gordon Simmons (now ORC). Julie has an MA in Marketing from Lancaster University and is a full member of the Market Research Society (MMRS)

Mark Dennis
Director
Mark Dennis, Director, specialises in banking research including new service development. Previously senior partner of MDA Marketing Research, now part of Charterhouse Research, Mark established a reputation for innovative studies in financial markets. Before founding MDA in 1998, Mark was a director of City Research Group Plc responsible for custom research in corporate and investment banking, and mortgage markets.
Previously deputy managing director of Carter Research, a senior researcher at TSB Bank and GfK, and a banker at Barclays, Mark has the Diploma of the Chartered Institute of Bankers and is a full member of the Market Research Society (MMRS)

Sara McFadzean
Director
Sara McFadzean, Director, designs and manages studies in banking, asset finance and business services. A director of TNS Financial & Professional Services and of NFO Financial Services before jointly founding Charterhouse, Sara jointly headed a research division where she managed a major programme of multi-client business banking studies in addition to custom research in banking and related markets.
Until its merger into NFO Financial, Sara was a director of City Research Group Plc responsible for its banking research programme and was previously a senior research executive at Harris Research. Sara has a BSc in Biology from Liverpool University and is a full member of the Market Research Society (MMRS)

Mervyn Flack
Director
Mervyn Flack, Director, has focused on financial marketing research for over 20 years, developing a range of financial research studies and multi-client research programmes in banking, insurance and investment markets. Founder chairman and chief executive of City Research Group Plc until its merger into NFO WorldGroup in 2001, Mervyn is one of the Charterhouse founder directors, with responsibility for research standards and finance.
A professionally-qualified statistician and fellow of the Royal Statistical Society (FIS), he has presented many conference and seminar papers and articles on market research in banking, insurance and investment markets including new product development and customer satisfaction. He is a full member of the Market Research Society (MMRS)

Sharon Rees
Director
Sharon Rees, Director, has worked with a range of blue chip clients across the areas of banking (retail, commercial and corporate), credit cards, insurance and investments covering a range of topic areas from customer satisfaction and product development to market understanding, brand and communications research.
Before joining Charterhouse, Sharon was at TNS for 11 years, most recently as Head of the Financial & Professional Services Division. She has a BA (Hons) degree in Modern Languages and European Studies (French, Italian) from the University of Bath and is an affiliate member of the Market Research Society.

Kate Turner
Associate Director
Kate Turner, Associate Director, joined Charterhouse Research in 2005 from Commonwealth Bank of Australia in Sydney where she was Research Manager and now works as a Project Director in research on banking, savings/investment and mortgage markets.
Previously a group manager at NFO WorldGroup and at City Research where she worked on business banking and investment markets with the team that founded Charterhouse Research, Kate has a BA (Hons) degree in Social Policy and Administration from the University of Central Lancashire and is an affiliate member of the Market Research Society.

Sue Lewis
Associate
Director
Sue Lewis, Associate Director, joined Charterhouse Research in 2006 as a Project Director responsible for our continuous intermediary and consumer tracking studies and for healthcare market research. Sue has over 15 years’ research experience, including six years on the client side, most recently at BUPA and in business banking at Barclays as senior market research manager.
Previously an associate director at City Research, managing a range of banking and investment research projects, Sue has a BSc (Hons) degree in Sociology from the University of Southampton and is a full member of the Market Research Society (MMRS)
